With great pleasure, I created the illustrations and the cover for Cornelis Kramer’s first book: De klas van Seth Kuipers: ‘De gestolen taart’. A cheerful and adventurous children’s book full of suspense and humor!
Since the illustrations were going to be in black and white and the story is about a boy solving mysteries, I was very much inspired by older noir movies with regard to shadow and composition. But still, it was important for me to keep it light and playful at the same time.
