I thoroughly enjoyed working on this picture book, published by Geef me de 5. In this story, the children in teacher Lisa’s class come up with creative ways to overcome their fears. According to Lisa, everyone has a little inventor in their head ready to help when things get scary.
For this project, I challenged myself to create colorful illustrations that are visually engaging while keeping sensory stimuli low and accessible. I achieved this by using low contrast and incorporating ample negative space to maintain a calm and accessible visual experience. Below are a few examples of these illustrations.
